Sewing Room Sessions gets better and better with these lush songwriting wizards. We welcome the inspiring pop stylings of Bri Clark backed by her incredible band. Grateful to see the young talents of Homebrand. And the supremely warm tones of Lake Louise. Always free, always the best talent.
Spinning a yarn is a totally unique songwriting event unlike anything WA has witnessed before. 4 songwriters on stage at the same time, sharing songs and the tales behind them. In July we witness the charm of Big Jesus aka Ben from gutter indie punk outfit Pat Chow, as well as emotive songwriter Jon Stapleton of Wooly Mammoth and many other acts, and joining them is Chloe Buchanan a rising jazz fused talent with a penchant for melody, plus one more to be announced.
Fresh new Alt-pop outfit Tether launch themselves with their first show on July 20. Inviting along some special guests in Mal De Mer and Sara Sara.
Off the back of their debut single ‘Corner’ which dropped in March, Chancery Crescent are back with another high octane cut of angsty grunge. Packed with 90’s vibes and a voice to rival Kevin Mitchell’s of Jebediah, ‘Living Rooms’ plays like the soundtrack to those teenage years where you’d waste your days doing nothing but roaming around the suburbs. To celebrate the new single, Chancery Crescent will be joined by good mates Soap, New Towns and Rich Roa
Dropping hot lineups since October 2017, this night shines a light of fresh talent coming up the musical ranks, creating indie landscapes and rock dreams. Thursday July 26 features the welcoming powerhouse sounds of Strange Folie, the jazz-hop funk and rock fusion of Sunday Trip, the south born styles of King Sound, and the rock collision of Sad Hour.
Long-renowned noise-punk act INJURED NINJA return to the stage this July. Known for their intense supersonic sound and dynamic live shows, Injured Ninja are an ever-evolving act that have won awards, toured Japan and US, and have supported the likes of Gang of Four, HEALTH, My Disco and Future of the Left plus more.

After successfully launching Perth’s newest live music venue – The Sewing Room – late last year, the team behind WA’s iconic Margaret River Chocolate Company has now unveiled its plans for a pop-up night club, appropriately named SWEET. Sweet will be Perth’s only free entry, pop-up nightclub and will run every Saturday night from 10pm-4am – running every Saturday in May and June. The club will feature some of Perth’s best DJs playing dance floor hits and classics from the last 20 years through to today. In addition to its cool, inner city basement setting the club will offer a range of tantalizing attractions including mouth-watering chocolate cocktails, free lolly bags, sweet treats after midnight and a friendly, all inclusive atmosphere. Sweet is located in the basement of 317 Murray Street in the city, with entry from Wolf Lane.
