You might be in Perth, but imagine you are marching down Bourbon Street behind the HOT 6 brass band and our special guest from New Orleans Ashlin Parker (USA). Party like you are in New Orleans with all the classic hits like “When the Saints,” “This Little Light o’ Mine,” “Mardi Gras,” “You are My Sunshine” plus modern songs from Prince, Marvin Gaye and soul legends that have been given a New Orleans twist. This will definitely be a night to remember.

“The Trumpet Mafia is a New Orleans icon, debuting at the New Orleans Jazz Fest 2015, its really exciitng to get this project to Australia and in particular the legendary Trumpeter – Ashlin Parker”

A versatile jazz trumpeter based in New Orleans, Ashlin Parker is currently a member of Ellis Marsalis Quintet and performing at Jazz at Lincoln Center. He also leads the Trumpet Mafia and plays with numerous diverse bands, such as Irvin Mayfield and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Bill Summers and Jazalsa, The Next Generation Big Band, The Original Hurricane Brass Band, Vivaz! and the Moscow-New Orleans Project.

Journey with Kohesia Ensemble and experience the evocative sounds of Persian music played in a unique jazz style. Led by double bassist Kate Pass, the Kohesia Ensemble serves as a platform for Kate’s original compositions, which are influenced by her passion for both jazz and Persian music. Kohesia Ensemble explores unusual time structures and microtonal melodies for a captivating listening experience. Kohesia Ensemble presents a night of original music that will transport you to another place. Having released their debut album “Kohesia” in June 2018, Kohesia Ensemble was nominated for 2018 WAM Best Album, Best Jazz Act and Best World Act. Kohesia Ensemble was also shortlisted for the Martin Sims Award at Fringe World Festival (2019). Chocolate & Wine Masterclass

The Margaret River Chocolate Company has matched its mouth-watering chocolates with wines from sister company Coward & Black Vineyards to create an amazing Chocolate & Wine masterclass experience.

Participants learn all about chocolate and wine and get to taste a range of single origin chocolates as well as pairing chocolates to a variety of red, white, sparkling and dessert wines. The classes also include tastings of three Sambarino chocolate liqueurs, along with a free bottle to take home. They run at the funky new bar in the city, The Sewing Room.
